Attention! Attention! May I have your attention please? Are you having trouble getting your customer to take a look at a great opportunity you have to offer? Get your target’s attention before he gets away! Often times it seems the proper procedure by attaching your document to the email and letting your target market open it for their review. DON’T! If you want to get their attention paste your attachment right into the body of the email so the second it opens, your material is right in front of them drawing them in to read. There are several way to do this with different documents, but here are just a few:
-PDF File: Go to Tools, Select & Zoom, Snapshot Tool, Select the area you would like to copy and simply paste it into your email.
-Word: Go to File, Send To, Mail Recipient, if you are using Microsoft Outlook it will open an email with your document as the body of the email.
-Excel: Word: Go to File, Send To, Mail Recipient, if you are using Microsoft Outlook it will open an email with your workbook as the body of the email. An alternate method with Excel is to copy the area with your content and Edit, Paste Special, and then choose if you would like your content to come across as a worksheet, picture or text. Please note if you do decide to send as an Excel worksheet, the file can be double clicked and opened exposing the entire worksheet rather than just the portion you are communicating.
It is important when you work from home to be effective and make the best use of your time. And humans, we are visual creatures, we will be much more drawn in by an image than we will be by words. So get the attention of your customer the first time using this method and it will save you hours down the road.
Put your visual right in the body of the email rather than attaching it.
